♥ My Cheeky 4 years old


At 4 years old, Melody is a hugh ball of fun to be around and also a big pain in the ass.
She makes us laugh a lot with the things she says and the things she does.
She also makes us feel like shoving her down the garbage chute sometimes with her terrible tantrums.
When she plays, she plays wild.
When she cries, she cries hard.
When she laughs, the entire world feels like laughing with her.
When she runs over to give me a big hug, she makes me feel like the most special person in the world.
My darling Melody. There is something about her.
And I think she is going to be a heartbreaker next time.

♥ Finding that passion

I haven't found anything interesting to write about these 2 months.
Nothing much is going on. Nothing new. Nothing out of the blue.
Melody and I are just being ourselves. We play. We argue. We laugh.
And the day starts all over again.
It seems sometimes that we stay home do all the trivial things. Are they really necessary?
So at the end of the day, this is still what I will choose, have to choose, gotta choose, everyday of my life since becoming a mom.
Sometimes I complain. Who doesn't. Sometimes I breakdown. Yeah, it is tough. But sometimes I also feel satisfied and fulfilled.
On the other hand, in a way though, I do feel that my life is not complete. I think everyone needs a "something" to feel alive. A motivation to start the day. Something that keeps you very busy and yet very happy about.
I envy people for finding their passions in life. I think everyone should. It just seems like after being moms, that part of ourselves is forgotten and shelved for later. But being passionate about life is the only way to live a fulfilling and happy one. I think. Instead of just focusing on what schools my kid should go to. What meals to cook for her....
I am still in search of my passion. Not actively, I admit. But I believe one day soon. I will find it. Maybe I'll just stumble upon it when I least expect.

I marvel at how much Melody has grown while I wasn't really looking...

This make me even want to cherish the times spent with her. She grows up too quickly...

It is true that the day seems to crawl ever so slowly but the year just files by before you know it.

My girl is 4.

She is always changing, Sometimes, she is fiesty and fiercely independent. Sometimes, she shows a quiet and reserved side of her, clingy and needy.

She's full of mischief.

She's a bouncy bundle of joy.

I wish for nothing but good health and happiness for my girl. For her to love life. To laugh. To dare to dream. And to reach for the stars if the stars are what she wants.

♥ Melody @ 3 years 10 months

At the age of coming 4 years old, Melody is a lot of fun to be around. She is chirpy and talks all the time. She tends to ask lots of questions nowadays.

Mommy, what are you doing?

Mommy, I want to eat biscuits and drink apple juice.

I show you Mommy.

I want this Mommy.

Sometimes she looks at me intensely and "talks" to me for a long time. This and that. Actions and all. Sometimes she laughs while she is in the middle of saying something as if she's telling me something funny. And I make sure I pay full attention and go "ahha, oh..., hmmm..., yes...".

She also chants lots of songs every night before she sleeps.

Sometimes, she wants her lazy mommy to read lots of books to her before her bedtime.

Melody is the only child at home. Sometimes, I think she's boring. One day, my brother and I caught her in action...
